Why Does it Seem as Though the Week Goes by so Slow?

Ok, if you use Twitter you know I went to lunch.. Burger King … Woo Hoo! 😀

I have been working on the site and trying some cool changes on my test site to see if I like it. I am trying to combine all the data bases and automate submissions and give you all the ability to change your listings and urls, categories etc… Wow is this involved. Any Crazy wild programmers are welcome to email me and we’ll talk… Yes, I just yelled HELP! 😀 I have so many things I want to do to bring BlogDumps to a super level of quality I can’t stand it.

While I am on this subject to all of you that have jumped in and decided to subscribe to the blog hosting (which is optional) I extend a great thanks ’cause this next step is gonna hurt the ole check book… LOL But I enjoy every minute so it’s all worth it to me.

AY won this weeks Top Sites Tuesday and she has been featured so I have a surprise for her! AY I will be emailing you! All of you that joined in this week, thanks! You made it a lot of fun! I hope someday we have a hundred or more and I will create a “Dumped” blogroll so we can all display it and get some more linky love going.

Not much to report on BlogDumps other then trying to keep up with Internet Explorer and Firefox updates on the video site. Every time they update, so do we, so it all works and looks right in each browser. So far I have it all done but the article part… Yes you can write an article all about your blog on BlogDumps Video and link it to your blog. It’s great for SEO purposes.

So that’s it for now all is well on the home front.

Thursday Oh Yeah!

That means tomorrow is Friday! I can’t wait for this weekend! I am taking a little trip to the mountains again, maybe this time I will remember to take a camera… LOL 🙂

Since The Inferno won this week I will do a mini blog review. Also you will notice that The inferno has become a BlogDumps supporter and been put on the BlogDumps supporters blogroll. We really appreciate all the support from our community members this helps us with making the site that much better. Trina and I have some great plans in the future for BlogDumps, I won’t spill the beans but they are awesome! 😀

Not much to report around here other than we had to fix BlogDumps Video to work in IE 8 and the latest Firefox edition… It’s all fixed and I didn’t crash anything… Yeah! Can you believe it? LOL

Finally Friday

Well after a long, humid, sticky week I am in need of some rest. I can’t wait to just sleep in tomorrow!
I hope all of you had a great week also. How was your week?

There is not much in the way of news around here we just seem to be humming along… I see there are a lot of new blogs on BlogDumps Bloggers, a big welcome to all that joined the community this week. I also noticed a lot of new bloggers that have submitted their blogs to the directory. I will be adding new blogs this weekend to the directory so make sure we can find your buttons. 🙂

I am thinking about having a video contest and a prize for the best or funniest video that is uploaded to BlogDumps Video… We should run the contest for some time to get a big response!

Let me know what you all think about it and help me come up with a good idea for this, I think it would be a blast. I guess the one that gets the most votes would win. We will have to figure out the details and the winner would get money for winning! Continue reading Finally Friday →

I know some of you are like WHAT! But boats are just a hole in the water you throw money in! The best day two days while you have a boat are the day you get it and the day it sells and leaves… LOL

Ocean Of Perspectives

A new addition to the religious blog category in BlogDumps Blog Directory is Ocean Of Perspectives.

This blog’s sub-title states, “Perspectives involving personal growth, awareness, higher consciousness, balancing mind, body, soul, meditation, prayer, Yoga relationships”

Lea, the author of this blog, writes in her About Page:

“For me, the name Ocean Of Perspectives is symbolic of the collective energy flowing from all the worlds’ inhabitants into an ocean of energy. This ocean holds all the energy we created though our minds such as our thoughts, perceptions, perspectives and actions. Ocean Of Perspectives is about having a place to share ideas, concepts, experiences, knowledge and beliefs that we are developing, have developed or obtained during our life journey in our search for truth.”

After reading some of her posts, I find this blog inspirational and relaxing. One of my favorite posts is Self Love. The video in this post is so very cool you’ve got to check it out!

What a beautiful Saturday!

It was so nice to wake up to the sun beating in the window and the birds chirping outside in the trees here on the farm today! We had close to fifteen inches of snow here this week and it’s all gone, it will be seventy degrees tomorrow on Sunday… I guess that’s why I like it here on the Eastern Shore we get weather extremes but they don’t last long and it’s over. I should have mounted a camera on the front of
the Jeep it was so much fun trying to get to town on all the back roads!

Could it be Spring is almost here?

So what type of flowers should I plant in front of the farm house this year… Any Ideas?

We have a lot of new members this week, Thanks for Dumping your blog!

I have added almost everyone that has Dumped their blog to the directory categories. I still have about fifty to go so don’t be alarmed if you are not listed yet, this is all done by humans and we check each for content first so you can just imagine the time it takes… The only thing is, there are almost ten new links a day sometimes – I think I’m getting ahead and I’m really getting further bhind LOL. But, I like it this way it keeps it fresh and new and the spam blogs out.

I was over at one of the other blog directories I belong to and they have a sticky post on their discussion area that says no link dropping… That is not the case here so do not feel that you can’t tell people about your blog or that you can’t leave a link to it. If the thread on the discussion involves a post or is relative to what everyone is talking about drop the link or if you have posted about the same thing on your blog give an excerpt and drop a link to your post. BlogDumps is about getting maximum exposure for your blog.

The best way to achieve readers and gain traffic is through social networking and you can do the right here on BlogDumps in many ways. I invite you to surf BlogDumps and check out all the places you can drop your link to your blog. You can even create your own page here and add videos, photos, and more with all the links you want on it! Or join the discussion forum and add your Two cents! There is another spot to drop your link each day when you get bumped off but I will let you find it… LOL

Special Bloggers Help America Tuesday

This Tuesday will not include the Top Blogs sending traffic… I know, I hear you!

There is always next Tuesday. I think this is important to write about.

A fellow Blogger Shinade posted about Bloggers Help America and received some negative feedback because they don’t know who we are at BlogDumps. So I added and revised the Bloggers Help America Page. We added all our contact information and when we started and who owns the site etc… I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea. I really think that this could be a great thing if we all banded together, we can make a difference!

When Shinade donated, she suggested the following charity for us to consider when we make our first donation from the Bloggers Help America Fund:

The Turner Syndrome Society Of America. This is a genetic disorder that only affects women. Their medical costs are phenomenal. Even with insurance many of them can’t afford everything they need to stay alive. This Foundation receives very little attention and needs support very much. The women suffer many terrible things associated with this disorder. Life expectancy is is very short. I think the longest recorded is early 50’s. Please, please, consider this. New posts

IntelliLinks? The Answer!

I had posted previously that I would keep you updated on how it goes with IntelliLinks!

Remember the mass emails we all got about their new program? I must be on a list somewhere… LOL

Well, as is turns out, we will not be putting a graph on the side bar of BlogDumps Blog comparing how well IntelliLinks does to how well Text-Link-Ads does and furthermore I am not going to give up my partnership with Text-Link-Ads anytime soon because they pay like clock-work and I can count on it just as the sun rises everyday!

I submitted BlogDumps to IntelliLinks and they wrote me back saying that BlogDumps does not – that’s right BlogDumps does not – meet their guidelines to be added to their inventory!!!

So I wrote them and asked why would you accept one of my other, much less popular blogs but not the one that everyone wants to be on and gets the most traffic? Text links do very well on BlogDumps?

Their reply was “We’re not exactly the same as Text Link Ads in that we have different groups of advertisers” and they said… “Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot accept your site into our marketplace”.

That’s ok, I didn’t ask to join their site, they mass emailed me and asked me to join.

Update BlogDumps and a couple other of my blogs has been accepted and we haven’t made a lot of money but from the date of this post to today, 10/10/09 has been $41.61.
