Wow, I can’t stand the spammers. I have tried the captcha and I agree with everyone, I don’t like it either.
I have been getting so much spam it’s crazy!

There was a record number of visitors to the blog from Monday to today so I hope you all had some new visitors!

The news for BlogDumps this week is I have been working on the front page so it makes for a better home page for those that use BlogDumps. The web search is just the same as Google’s search but if you want to support BlogDumps make it your home page and use the web search, BlogDumps gets paid for all the clicks on the sponsored links. The front page has a lot of quick links to all your favorite social sites and email I just added Ebay to the list. if you have any suggestions leave it in the comments and I will add the link you want to the front page. The weather has been added a few weeks ago and it is not just for Delaware you can add you zip code in the search box and get your local weather. I hope you all like the new front page I am trying to make it a convenient start page with all the links we need in one place instead of trying to open multiple pages and eliminate having to type in the address bar. I like to just click with my mouse…LOL

I added the BlogDumps Mini Video Player and it will play one of the videos off of B Tubed each day. I though this would be kind of cool and it would add something fun to the front page also. Today’s was a Felix The Cat cartoon remember those 🙂 they were great!

I also added quick links to the BlogDumps Features make sure to try them they are free and are very useful. The BlogDumps IM I am sure you will like so give it a whirl you can download it here.

Make sure if you would like to get in on the Saturday Video Post before the Saturday Night Dump goes up join B Tubed and upload some videos I will use them and give you a link to your blog as the one who uploaded it. The same goes for the Sunday music post so stop by B Tubed and join today it’s fun easy and spam free. You can customize your own page layout too!

Top Sites Tuesday was fun this week with Liggy winning this week 🙂 I am glad everyone enjoyed the theme.

If you are interested in joining our fun on Tuesdays the check-in post goes up on Mondays so you know what’s going to be the theme for the week and you can see who all’s participating. Its a lot of fun and talk about bringing you readers we have had thousand of visitors so far this week just to the blog so it is a good way to get some visitors to your blog 🙂

I had some fun this week – some of the new community members have downloaded the BlogDumps Instant Messenger and I received some Instant Messages, that was fun 🙂 If you want to send smileys right click on the text area in the messenger and it brings them up. I have gone through the help area on the IM and made sure that it is up to date. When you download it, it doesn’t take but just a small amount of memory and no special pages or equipment is needed. If you are a member of the BlogDumps Community Discussion forum you use the same username and login password to access it. Have some fun! You can get family and friends to download it they don’t have to be a blogger to use it. This way you can keep in touch with them or just have some fun by sharing photo files etc… If you decide to try it my username is Wolfbernz.

I added comments to the BlogDumps new customizable profile pages on the discussion forum so people you know can leave comments on your profile wall I thought this might be a fun thing to have. you can now change the look add friends and more on your discussion forum profile pages. Give it a try it’s fun!

Make sure if you want to get in on the Saturday Funnies post to upload a funny video and I will use it and link it to your blog… The same goes for the Sunday Music Post Upload one of your favorite songs and I will use it and link the post to you and your blog.

We have been adding blogs to the directory as we can, there have been so many it’s hard to keep up if you would like to get ahead of the line and or get your blog Featured follow me here it’s just a few dollars and you will be in the directory within 24 hours.

Tomas from Art by Tomas won this week’s Top Sites Tuesday congrats to him 🙂 Please visit him and check out his cool blog. Tomas will be featured on this weeks Saturday Night Dump!

Not much to report here, we have closed registrations for getting a blog and have changed it to where one must fill out a form and then we will contact the new user. I really don’t like to have to do this but the robots and spammers have become out of control!

I would like to find a few people that are willing to download the BlogDumps Instant Messenger and use it with their family and friends so I can get some feedback. Please try the video and the file transfer, add you photo etc.. Also if you can get one or more people in the video conference room by clicking on the chat link on the messenger that would be awesome. If any of you are in business environment this could prove to be very helpful to your business also. The download is safe and has no spyware or malware it uses an ordinary webcam no need for special equipment but the better the webcam the better the messenger video works. I really appreciate the ones that will do this for me. you can leave a comment here and I will get back to you if you are having trouble or if you find it fun and it is working out please leave a comment so I know and I will get back with you. the link to the download is here. Finally Friday

Well after a long, humid, sticky week I am in need of some rest. I can’t wait to just sleep in tomorrow!
I hope all of you had a great week also. How was your week?

There is not much in the way of news around here we just seem to be humming along… I see there are a lot of new blogs on BlogDumps Bloggers, a big welcome to all that joined the community this week. I also noticed a lot of new bloggers that have submitted their blogs to the directory. I will be adding new blogs this weekend to the directory so make sure we can find your buttons. 🙂

I am thinking about having a video contest and a prize for the best or funniest video that is uploaded to BlogDumps Video… We should run the contest for some time to get a big response!

Let me know what you all think about it and help me come up with a good idea for this, I think it would be a blast. I guess the one that gets the most votes would win. We will have to figure out the details and the winner would get money for winning! Continue reading Finally Friday →

Saturday At the Dump!

As is sit down with my cup of coffee in hand and gaze out the window thinking of what to write, I see it looks cold and windy outside! I am so glad my friend bought me a really nice down jacket for Christmas! It has been a very cold this week on the Eastern Shore.

There is so much to tell about what’s going on around here!

My son has bought his own house and he and his wife have moved in they will be having their baby soon. It’s going to be a baby boy! Woo-hoo! Oh stop it, I am not that old!!! Ok, Don’t you even use the “G” word…LOL I am proud of them though they are on their way to their new life. They are on their own and they are making out well, in this economy I had my concerns.

As you could see from the last post, I know it was last Tuesday but we have been working so hard on the site improvements I haven’t had a moment to blog away.

I was reading in some of the emails I get from various web news about social media and where it is headed in 2009. One of the articles I was reading had some of the do’s and don’ts, so I decided with a mutual vote around here to follow some of their advice and start this year off with a new look for BlogDumps as a whole.

The improvements started this week. We made some awesome improvements to BlogDumps Bloggers, allowing bloggers to add their adsence and javascript codes to their posts, and in the process we had to re-build a couple of blog templates to be able to be seen in FireFox… I am so glad Nancy Likes her new blog layout!

The biggest news of the week is the new look of BlogDumps Video I hope you all take a moment and go look at the new look and layout. Please take a few minutes and join the social media part of BlogDumps, you will not be disappointed with all the cool new features. The webcam upload allows for you to even do a webcam upload and embed your video blog post on your blog!

The next biggest news is the *all new* BlogDumps Instant Messenger that now has all the features the big boys have! Yes, I want our instant messenger to be just as good or better. Now you can send not only text, make audio calls and do video chat with your friends you can also transfer files! I hope you all enjoy the new look throughout BlogDumps as we grow along side all of you in the blogging world. Trina says it sounds corny, but I have to say it – with out all of you, BlogDumps would be just another empty site hoping for some visitors – so with that said thanks everyone for becoming a part of the BlogDumps community!

The new BlogDumps Instant Messenger we have been working on is awesome!

I have been having so much fun with this… I know it’s supposed to be work but this is just too much fun. It’s so nice when things seem to begin to go the way you want them to go isn’t it?

Gas is down to $2.03 today, we took a trip to get toys and cool stuff for the little ones in the family… I was a happier guy at the pump!

Here at BlogDumps we have a lot to tell we have just released the BlogDumps Instant Messenger Build 2.0 Gosh it has so many new features including file transfer (not gigantic files yet, but we are working on increasing the file upload size). I like the video conference room where I can see everyone at once…Tooo funny!

We have upgraded the BlogDumps Bloggers Blogs (wow that was a mouthful!) to the latest version available, I know some of you will be confused at first but you will love all the new features in the dashboard area – and if you need help let us know in the BlogDumps Discussion Forums. This upgrade is going to make BlogDumps Bloggers that much more secure from the hackers and bad people out there.

I have added threads in the forum for both of these topics so if you have any questions or find something cool you can do on the new BlogDumps Instant Messenger please post it there. This will help everyone who has a question.

It has been a cold rainy day here on The Eastern Shore…

I have been working on the latest version of the BlogDumps IM (instant messenger) Now not only will you be able to video or audio chat or just instant message your friends, but you will be able to send files also.
