BlogDumps News on Wednesday?
Yes, I am a day early but I am sure you all won’t mind… Me? Early? I know.. LOL
BlogDumps is ringing in the new year with a lot of new members dumping their blogs so I would like to say welcome to the community
Make sure to check out the newest member and Featured blog Chasing A Noodle I will do a review on it this coming Saturday on the Saturday Night Dump. Thanks for the support we appreciate it, all the support helps keep new features coming to the BlogDumps community.
Not much to report as far as BlogDumps goes all is running smoothly. I just updated BlogDumps Bloggers blogs to the latest version of WordPress and updated the plugins site wide. It went very smooth, no issues that I have seen, if you find something that looks or is acting strange let me know.
I added a few more backgrounds to the Twitter background maker if you have any suggestions for backgrounds let me know and I will add them. I hope you find this free service working well for you, let me know if you have trouble I will lend a hand.
We are still a bit behind in adding blogs to the directory but we will get to all of you as soon as we can, we check each and every blog manually to make sure it’s not a spam blog or porn blog. Yes we are a human edited directory but that keeps the site clean. If you would like to be added and put in the front of the line try our guaranteed inclusion on the blog submission page it’s a small one time fee.
Believe it or not ,I am still working on the BlogDumps Video area of the site I am trying to add some new up to date features but for now all is working well. I just want a couple of new features on it that I have been working on.
That’s it for this week remember you can always get me on the BlogDumps Instant messenger- user name Wolfbernz – you can download it here. Text, send files and video chat with friends and family around the world.

Featured Blog – The Artist Challenge
On first look one can not grasp the depth of beauty and passion stirred by The Artist Challenge. This site is an inspiration to those who participate in the monthly challenges and those who view the results from challenges past.
On their “What the Heck is this Site?” page I found the following:
What is The Artist Challenge?
The Artist Challenge is ‘dare’ between artists. Example: “How would a foolish soul like you portray ‘Hope’ in a singular image or artwork?”How does it work and what are the requirements?
The theme for the challenge will be clearly defined at the first of every month with links to research the subject. It’s origins may come from the artists, patrons or some other unlikely spirit.The challenge can be done in any style or medium the artist chooses. (Painters, Sculptures and craftsmen are all welcome.) Each member is given 30 days to render their concept and post their masterpiece on The Artist Challenge site by the specified drop dead date.
Of course, there is more to the page, but you have to go to The Artist Challenge to read it – I’m not giving away all the details!
The artwork submitted on each challenge is amazing! Their last challenge, Art Challenge#20- Shifting Shadows was actually posted last night and the artwork- all we can say is Wow! 11 artists participated and each work of art was so different – every interpretation was unique! I really love how every piece of artwork submitted has artist details and details about that particular piece of art when you click on it.
If you are an art lover, or collector – heck, if you like to look at awesome things, you gotta check out The Artist Challenge! If you are an Artist of any kind, I encourage you to participate as one artist wrote
The Artist Challenge is a great asset to our community and I hope you all enjoy the site as much as I do.

Saturday Morning on the East Coast
It’s so beautiful outside that I can’t wait to do a little gardening! I think that I might even go for a nice quiet boat ride this afternoon – I use a small trolling motor on the John boat, it’s so quiet that you can sneak up on turtles and heron and not even bother them.
I want to tell you about a new member of the BlogDumps Community, Margaret’s BookShelf. Margaret just started this blog and being the book lover that I am I can’t wait to read her reviews on the books shes reading! In her post, About my Blog, she describes the design and layout of her blog and future plans for her blog.
My Reviews
I plan to list the following for each of my book reviews:
* Title/Author/Series Info
* Star Rating
* Main Characters and Point of View
* Age Appropriateness and Genre
* Summary of Book
* A Quote
* My Thoughts/Opinions
* The Bottom-line
I love the “The Bottom Line” part.

Saturday’s Featured Blog!

I stopped by this blog before it became a featured blog – just poking around as we all do.
I found myself falling right into the page, it has a great appeal and, well, being an animal lover there were baby cheetahs in a post titled The Whoosh of Rain Forests, the Rustle of Savannas – well you know the rest…lol – I had a good time and found the Arkist Blog informative and a good read… I will be back! It’s great!
I found this on the ARKist about page and it just sums up what the Arkist Blog is about in a nut shell for you – but really you should take a look for yourself.
ARKist publishes eco-news and opinion about practical approaches and solutions to what’s ailing the global environment. Yes, we said global. We have lived in or traveled through many countries, some on the brink of environmental disaster. The people who live in such trouble spots understand more than most how crucial it is we clean up our thoughtless leavings and develop the technology, practices, laws and behavior that will return us to a healthy world. So we’ve been there, and now we have a deep appreciation for workable ideas and impressive advances, plus all the ups and downs that go with those. Our beat is international ecology—the interconnectedness of living things on this small blue sphere.
Join us navigating these waters in search of a world that can survive.
Welcome to the BlogDumps community ARKist!

What a beautiful Saturday!
It was so nice to wake up to the sun beating in the window and the birds chirping outside in the trees here on the farm today! We had close to fifteen inches of snow here this week and it’s all gone, it will be seventy degrees tomorrow on Sunday… I guess that’s why I like it here on the Eastern Shore we get weather extremes but they don’t last long and it’s over. I should have mounted a camera on the front of
the Jeep it was so much fun trying to get to town on all the back roads!
Could it be Spring is almost here?
So what type of flowers should I plant in front of the farm house this year… Any Ideas?
We have a lot of new members this week, Thanks for Dumping your blog!
I have added almost everyone that has Dumped their blog to the directory categories. I still have about fifty to go so don’t be alarmed if you are not listed yet, this is all done by humans and we check each for content first so you can just imagine the time it takes… The only thing is, there are almost ten new links a day sometimes – I think I’m getting ahead and I’m really getting further bhind LOL. But, I like it this way it keeps it fresh and new and the spam blogs out.
I was over at one of the other blog directories I belong to and they have a sticky post on their discussion area that says no link dropping… That is not the case here so do not feel that you can’t tell people about your blog or that you can’t leave a link to it. If the thread on the discussion involves a post or is relative to what everyone is talking about drop the link or if you have posted about the same thing on your blog give an excerpt and drop a link to your post. BlogDumps is about getting maximum exposure for your blog.
The best way to achieve readers and gain traffic is through social networking and you can do the right here on BlogDumps in many ways. I invite you to surf BlogDumps and check out all the places you can drop your link to your blog. You can even create your own page here and add videos, photos, and more with all the links you want on it! Or join the discussion forum and add your Two cents! There is another spot to drop your link each day when you get bumped off but I will let you find it… LOL

Saturday’s Featured Blog
Art blogs are few and far between, but when we find them, online art appreciation takes place.
John Wright Art displays a collection of watercolors by John Wright. I could write how beautiful each picture is, but I think, as is the nature with art, you must see some to appreciate it:

I have always admired watercolors, and I find these wonderful. If you like what you see, stop by and visit either the John Wright Art blog or Etsy shop where you can find a neat selection of Abstract watercolors.

Sinigang For The Soul
So what is Sinigang all about? “Dmeemai” describes herself and her blog in the best About post I’ve read in a while. Most people just write something simple and quick, but her about post is well thought out and *ahem* 3 pages long. Here’s an excerpt from that page:
This is both a mixed bag and personal blog, not a food blog; although I may talk about food sometimes!
Sinigang is a metaphor to signify all my favorites in life; all that interests me (or not!); I love computer and the internet. Funny that I didn’t need it as much 15 years ago but since 1993, I have been a computer user! Explore some of my web finds! I like poetry and you could see me attempting to create a lot of it in my posts. I write short stories, most of them just on my head! I do have some on this blog to share!

Dmeemai has even started a new blog project saying:
When I seriously started blogging two years ago, I have this nagging idea of finding a way to interact with others but couldn’t figure out exactly how. Until recently when everything just sort of fell into place. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I had to just take action and put it into a whole new website (like I need another one, huh)!
On December 5th, onephotoproject.com is born.
I love the idea and can’t wait to see where that blog takes her. You can read more and learn more about Dmeemai (including how she got her name) by going to her blog Sinigang For The Soul.

America For Purchase
New to our Political Blogs, America For Purchase, is a really interesting read. Written by a retired American, a Viet Nam veteran, and God believing citizen with a son in the US military. He posts articles, that I would have otherwise not have seen.
I was totally entertained by his disclaimer:
This is a personal weblog, the opinions expressed by the author and contributors on America For Purchase are their own and are provided AS IS with no warranties, and confers no rights. The commentaries, articles and political information are enjoyed by our rights to free speech and are not intended to offend. Feel free to challenge me, disagree, or tell me I’m completely nuts in the comments section of each blog entry, but I reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever (abusive, profane, rude, or anonymous comments) so keep it polite, please.
LOL Then I read his first article about Preemptive Pardons. I had never heard of such a thing – you must read it!
The best part of this blog is the cumulative effect of all the posts. One post alone could lead you to think that this is just another political blog, but in reading through many of the posts you develop a feel for what this blog author believes in and where he stands on what issues. I wish I could say that about more blogs.
Happy Holidays!

Mistakes Made Blog
I LOVE these kinds of blogs! I always feel the need to read everything posted! What kind of Blog is that, you ask? It a blog for People Who Do Stupid Things! LIKE ME!

The author writes:
This blog is all about the dumb and stupid things we have all done. So, it would be great if you shared your story with everyone else. Just Click Here to send me your short story and I will post it here. If you want, you may leave your name or link to your blog or website.I really hope this project will grow and many thanks to those who contribute!
I think my favorite story is Assisting a guest at Target I guess because I have been the guest that was given bad directions too many times! Shame on You!
So, If you have a story that fits this:
A look back at all the mistakes, errors,poor judgments, and all the other dumb things we do as humans.
Please be sure to stop by and share it! Who knows, maybe the next story you read will be submitted by me!
Welcome to BlogDumps! Can’t wait to read more!

Welcome To The Saturday Night Dump!
What a nice day it was today… Fall is here but I love this kind of weather!
If you haven’t noticed I have been remodeling around here trying to make BlogDumps one of the best blogging resource sites on the web. I guess the hardest part is that we didn’t get BlogDumps out of a box or buy a template etc.. So we have to build and script as we go along.
One of the nice new features is that we now show the two newest members that joined the BlogDumps community on the front page with a screen shot of the blog that was submitted along with it’s page rank. So if you haven’t joined our community now is the time to join! You can get some front page time until the next blog is submitted and bumps you off the page. That is, unless you become a featured blog and then you will randomly show up in the spotlights throughout the site as the featured blog .
I would like to invite all of you that are BlogDumps members to join the discussion forum. We will be implementing some cool new features and they will be linked to the forum database for user login, profiles, avatars etc..
The search box on the front page has moved to the top of the page and will search the web for whatever you are looking for. A big Thank you to Buy-Tees.net for the logo I love the dump truck with the RSS in the back of it.
Animal Fact Guide’s Wildlife Blog
The Animal Fact Guide’s Wildlife Blog features interesting animal videos, photos, and news.
This is a very cool blog! I highly recommend it and it’s a must visit while you’re blog surfing.
Make sure to leave a comment when you visit, It is the nice thing to do!
Submit your blog and Get Featured and a mini review!
Have a great Saturday night!
