Friday’s Fifteen Hot Blogs

TGIF!!! Yes once again it’s the weekend… OK, maybe it isn’t but it’s close enough!

What a great week we had around here! I hope you all had a great one too?

I have been working endlessly on re-designing BlogDumps and so far it seems to be working out for the best, although there have been a few glitches. That we won’t discuss because I don’t like to reveal my total screw ups…LOL

The Salisbury Autumn Wine festival is this weekend that should be really great. It’s twenty dollars to get in but you get a wine glass and they let you stay all day long and taste all kinds of different wines from local wineries. They also have some good food and live music…talk about fat and sassy! So what are you up to this weekend?

Friday Fifteen

I have great news! We have been updating our BlogDumps Blog Hosting platform on our test site and it is all working like a dream! I installed the newest version of Wordpress 2.6.2 and all the plugins! You are going to love the new blogging platform.

For all of you that are tired of the same old theme I have installed about 100 themes to the test site – I still need to configure them, but I believe we are ready to make the change on the live BlogDumps Bloggers site.

Before we do we have one more phase of testing… yes you guessed it we have two test sites the first one is working perfect but before I upgrade your BlogDumps Blog I want to make double-sure it all works like it’s supposed to.

Sooooo….. We will be under going some maintenance this next week. If all goes according to plan, you probably won’t even notice until you login to your blog and see the new dashboard. And it’s Great! I think I said that but I am so excited.

I do want to ask one favor though I want all of you to join the BlogDumps forum and tell me if you experience any problems or notice anything ood with the upgrade in the help thread.

TGIF!!! We’re off to the Apple-Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville, Delaware (I’ll tell you more about what that is later!)

Friday Fifteen

TGIF! It has been another long week here, How about yours?

Every summer the Sharptown Firemans Carnival opens in Sharpstown Maryland so we went last night. The carnival is stationary, the firemen actually have their own rides (a favorite here is te tractor engine powered ferris wheel) and a few years back a huge building was built so the rides like the tilt-a-whirl and kiddie coasters would not be affected by the weather. They open up probibally 10 food stands where you can get a fried oyster fritter sandwich, clam strips, crab cakes, funnel cakes, burgers, hot dog, french fries, and even frozen mountian dew LOL! They have games like bingo, abseball throwing to knock down the milk bottles, the quarter roulette wheel and the dime toss(I told you it’s a small town carnival right?). An lots of people have small booths where you can buy raffle tickets to win something exciting like a Wii. All the proceeds go to the firemen – so it’s great, you get to play, eat and support your local firemen.

We had fun last night even though it tried to rain and thunderstorm. Thanks to the thunderstorm the ferris wheel was turned off so we just got dinner there. We split a seafood platter – I love clam strips – it was literally served on a frisbee instead of a plate LOL but it was very good.

So anyway it has been a real busy week I am looking forward to this weekend and getting some rest… Yea right- no rest for the weary here!

Finally It’s Friday!

It has been a long week here, How about yours?

I did manage to go to the State Fair though. It wasn’t too crowded and the weather was absolutely perfect! We had a blast, there is so much food there… We were stuffed full of good food, cotton candy and funnel cakes. I don’t know who was the most sticky me or the kids, Thank God for baby wipes!

It’s times like these that make it all worth the hard work we go through all week long. Personally I think we should all take a moment out of our busy schedules and just throw it to the wind and have a good time with family and friends, it’s worth every moment. The memories we create are priceless.

Finally It’s Friday. YEA! it’s almost the weekend. I had a great week how about you?

I haven’t been posting the Top Blogs this week ’cause I wanted everyone to have a chance at the T-Shirt Contest. I have been leaving it as a sticky post a lot.

I picked up the T-Shirts yesterday, I know just in time!

The contest is over so I am off to the Post office to send the winners their T-Shirts. I passed out the Entrecard Ec’s last night to the winners and sent out emails.

That was fun maybe we should do another one soon, what do you think?

I had better get on my way I can just imagine how crowded the Post office is on Friday.
