Sunday Music – Happy Birthday Wolfbernz

So it’s Wolfbernz birthday, well not really it was on the 31st of March but we are going to celebrate it today.

Both sons, their wives and his little man ( the grandson) are coming over to hang out. I am taking them to church with us today, ok I’m dragging one – but that’s ok. We are not the biggest church goers but we are family people and we do like values and morals… Something that is lacking in today’s society. Especially after stopping by and reading Cheryl’s post today.

So I hope they don’t mind, they said it would be his day, so what a better way to start a family day than church, lunch and a movie, yep that’s it but there better be cake involved… LOL Wolfbernz LOVES CAKE!!!

It’s even a warm and sunny spring day 🙂 Does it get any better? Family fun, lots of love and happiness!

On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
The smell of colitas rising up through the air

My head grew heavy we had to stop for the night!

We had been driving for hours through the Mexican desert that day. At one point we had been pulled over by the Mexican police for no apparent reason and It cost a hundred US to be let go.

Sometime we asked ourselves where the heck have we landed!?

We all were so thirsty. We came into a little town called Todo Santos a small oasis in the middle of a dusty road town. We were met by the local dog.

As we made our way around the town looking for a place to stay we came upon The Hotel California.

No It can’t be… Could it? Hotel California! We had to stop and yes it was exactly as your imagination takes you as you read on. A beautiful Mexican bar after you travel what seems to be back in time through an older but well kept hotel, a single guy in the corner of the restaurant with an acoustic guitar singing a slow broken English version of hotel California. At this point we all had a big smile, we have arrived.

I had a salad for dinner. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was the best I had ever had. We really had one of the best times of our lives in this little dusty oasis I was told this is where the song came from and if so I can appreciate it so much more after spending a couple weekends there… Yes it was so cool we rented a car and drove back there *we’ll just go one more time* we said!

The Hotel California is a real hotel located in Baja California on the coastal highway between Cabo San Lucas. In other words, the song was about a real place is what I came find out. I can understand never leaving we met many who had gone to this little town and never left. It was a beautiful little oasis town, palm trees and nice beaches.

So this song has a whole new meaning to us, I have always like the song but I feel as though we were in a place that well related the song and to where we were.

Sunday Music Is Back!

I haven’t done one for a while now and it’s time to get back into the swing of things around here!

We have enjoyed our time off so much words cannot explain it, but after all the things we did and went through to get the sailboat to Puerto Vallarta, and have a blast doing this trip, I think this music fits very well. I am sure you will agree if you read my last weeks Top Sites Tuesday Post on Wolfbernz.com

So we are headed out to the hotel by the airport and from there we leave out Tuesday morning to fly back to the farm on the Eastern Shore 🙂

We have already begun to get back to work, Blog registrations are open again and the new default theme is awesome. BlogDumps Bloggers is also on the latest stable version of WordPress. BlogDumps is on dedicated servers with round the clock server techs so no worries! Blog about whatever you wish just no nasty stuff, there are many other places for that! Sunday Music from La Cruz

What a nice day! It was warm and sunny with a bit of a cool breeze. We hung out in the marina this morning they had a nice Sunday brunch overlooking the surf spot from the restaurant. They have really good coffee the best part is it’s at the end of the dock upstairs. The food was really good.

We headed into town after breakfast and lucked into a Sunday local flea market. The Mexican people are really cool and very artistic at what ever it is they do.

We walked all over the town, there was a soccer game going on and it looked as though they were debating as to who did what during a play in the game. Trina didn’t want to walk near the river she was telling me about snakes and wild things so we walked down the street past a enclosed area around a house whenthis giant dog hits the fence I though I sh*** my shorts…LOL

It was nice we had a great walk and then it was back to the boat – everyone was taking a nap and, as usual I was playing with the site as I finally have some internet!

Some really cool people from Long Beach invited us to Taco night in town – I was in – so seven of us headed into town it was a byob place 🙂 We waited just a few minutes and then had some really good meixcan style tacos and quesadillas. I liked the desert flan. I wanted to buy a whole pie it was so delicious. It was nice to hang out and talk – good company, lots of laughs – everyone there was on a boat and had something to share.

It was a great evening and nice walk back to the marina. We are looking at the charts, it’s getting time to hit the water and do some sailing to the next spot and hang out “on the hook” as they say in sailor talk 🙂

I believe we will still have internet so I hope to have some cool photos. The first stop is Yelapa, Mexico, and then down the coast.

I think this photo say it all when it come to this trip relaxing and peaceful …

I haven’t done a Sunday Music for awhile so here is one I think is fitting and I know you will enjoy 🙂

Well we have landed in a place where I could do Sunday Music so I thought – What a great time to do a quick post.

I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready for the holidays… I am going to miss having the Christmas ham… LOL Wait that’s not funny, maybe I can get an air drop or maybe someone delivers!

Everything here has been going well, we are having fun. It seems as though the world is still moving when we get off the boat 🙂

I have taken some photos but haven’t had a chance to get them to the computer so I can upload them to the blog!

I found this so fitting because we are sailing around in the pacific.

While I was looking around B Tubed for some Sunday Music I didn’t see any new stuff uploaded for this week so I was roaming around looking for something good to play for everyone 🙂

I listened to a lot of different songs and just couldn’t find anything that struck me for a post. I am sure you all have had finding what to post about an issue from time to time, OK well I do…LOL

So anyway I ran across this video and since it is game time I thought what a better thing to play than this video for all you guys out there. It’s almost something I should do on a Saturday but it has music so there 🙂

Sunday Music -Time To Relax

I hope you all are having a nice weekend 😀 I have been working all weekend but I am taking time off during the week so I guess it all balances itself out…LOL
