So Good So Bad-Sunday Music!

I would like to welcome all the new Bloggers that have joined the BlogDumps Blog Directory, I hope all of you can join us on Top Sites Tuesday, it’s a great way to have fun, gain new readers and get more comments on your blog! Make sure to stop by on Monday – the check in post goes Up on Mondays and tells everyone what this weeks theme is so they can write their post for Tuesday!

I would also like to thank those of you on BlogDumps Bloggers that have subscribed and are donating a dollar a month to help support the site and help us continue to grow as one of the best new social networking sites on the web.

For those of you who have not updated your blog, or created a blog and never used it, make sure to login and start using your blog or do something with it because I am going to start deleting Blogs that have not been used or had anything done with them in the years 2006, 2007, and 2008. If it’s been over a year since anyone has logged in and done anything with their blog, the blogs are going to be deleted to make room for new serious Bloggers.

Many of you may have noticed changes on the front page of BlogDumps. We now offer a place for Bloggers to gain more exposure and readers to their blog! You can now “Sponsor a Category” on BlogDumps Blog Directory! Read more about sponsoring a category here.

Sunday Music in the Shenandoah Valley

I know you all think I’m just back here for the wine, but this time I actually came to Winchester for a reason… We are “approaching peak color” for autumn leaves. The mountains and valleys covered in trees make this autumn leaf turning amazing… much more so than in Lower, Slower, Flat Delaware 😉

I found a web cam, for those of you who can’t get here to see the leaves on the mountains. It’s The Leaf Color Webcam According to the leaf color report, “Fall has arrived in the mountains of Virginia, ushering in shorter days and noticeably cooler temperatures to this mountaintop park. Although the park hasnâ€™t received a good, hard frost yet, most leaves are changing colors rapidly and we are now approaching peak in many of the highest sections of the Skyline Drive.” If you would like to read the rest of the report, go here, but I’m warning you – you might start to book your trip 😉

So, we are staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Winchester, Virginia – we scoped many of the other Hotels and this particular one is the nicest. The Ladies at the front desk are amazingly sweet and friendly. The first time we stayed here, we called ahead and told them we were coming to check out wineries and they pulled a list of all the wineries in the area, directions to get to them, and addresses to each winery so we could plug that into our GPS (they spoiled us) The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable with super fluffy pillows on the nice white beds. They even have a weight room, indoor pool and jacuzzi (which, by the way, is where you would find Wolfbernz this morning) The Marriott here also provides a very nice Breakfast (none of this continental breakfast stuff) They have someone making omelets, you can make your own Belgian waffles, and they have all kinds of other munch-able stuff LOL. Dan is the general manager there. Thanks Dan for a wonderful stay! We love coming up there 😀

So, I almost forgot it’s Sunday Music time! Here’s something nice and soft to listen to!

BlogDumps Thursday News

All is well here on BlogDumps the site is just humming along! We have had a ton of new blogs created so I am going to have to make a choice… I have to add another dedicated server just for data or I have to close registrations for new bloggers to use BlogDumps. I don’t want to do that so I am working on a way to add a dedicated server just for data storage… I put in a call to see how much that would cost… LOL they have to call me back of course. It has been a long ten minutes… I hope it isn’t too expensive I want our community to keep growing it has just started to take off as the best new social network and blogging site on the web 😀

AngelBaby won this weeks Top Sites Tuesday she has a great blog and I love how she goes around spreading all the love and blessings to everyone, she is a great asset to the community… Thanks AngelBaby!

And thanks to all of you that participated this week it gets more fun as we go along. Invite all your blogging friends for next week if you get the chance. The Inferno was added to the blogroll this week if you would like to be added to the blogroll please join us a couple of weeks and I will add you. To stay on the blogroll, please join us at least once a month.

BlogDumps Video is all fixed up now, we have upgraded this part of the site to work with the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox. We thought we had it all finished last week but we have made a couple of adjustments. The web cam uploader is working great so all you video bloggers can now use your web cam and talk to all your readers, upload it and embed your video clip on your blog 🙂 All you have to do is sign up and have some fun. You can create your own page, pimp it with MySpace layouts, create friend lists, message each other, upload videos, photos and share music.

That’s it around here we are just working and enjoying this great Autumn weather!

Why Does it Seem as Though the Week Goes by so Slow?

Ok, if you use Twitter you know I went to lunch.. Burger King … Woo Hoo! 😀

I have been working on the site and trying some cool changes on my test site to see if I like it. I am trying to combine all the data bases and automate submissions and give you all the ability to change your listings and urls, categories etc… Wow is this involved. Any Crazy wild programmers are welcome to email me and we’ll talk… Yes, I just yelled HELP! 😀 I have so many things I want to do to bring BlogDumps to a super level of quality I can’t stand it.

While I am on this subject to all of you that have jumped in and decided to subscribe to the blog hosting (which is optional) I extend a great thanks ’cause this next step is gonna hurt the ole check book… LOL But I enjoy every minute so it’s all worth it to me.

AY won this weeks Top Sites Tuesday and she has been featured so I have a surprise for her! AY I will be emailing you! All of you that joined in this week, thanks! You made it a lot of fun! I hope someday we have a hundred or more and I will create a “Dumped” blogroll so we can all display it and get some more linky love going.

Not much to report on BlogDumps other then trying to keep up with Internet Explorer and Firefox updates on the video site. Every time they update, so do we, so it all works and looks right in each browser. So far I have it all done but the article part… Yes you can write an article all about your blog on BlogDumps Video and link it to your blog. It’s great for SEO purposes.

So that’s it for now all is well on the home front.

Happy Memorial Day!

Well, as you all know, I live in a resort area where EVERYONE has to be on holidays! It is very crowded on all the main roads around here – I am just glad I know all the back farm roads so I can get around…lol

We need to remember the reason we have this holiday – besides going to the beach or whatever it is that people do on holidays…

This is an important day! This is the day we remember all those that came before us and gave their lives for our freedoms and way of life, liberty, equality and justice.

So during the day take a moment and reflect on someone you know.. We all know someone in the military or who was in the military… say a prayer for them to keep them safe and sound. Even if it’s someone that has passed just reflect on what this day is really about.
