What a great week but TGIF!!! 😀

Congrats goes out to ieatsnowmanpoop for being the Top Site on this weeks Top Sites Tuesday… don’t you just love her name???

It sure has been a good week, I was going to post yesterday but I got caught up in working on upgrades for BlogDumps. It’s ok! I haven’t done anything live yet…lol 😉 I have been looking for a kick ass stats program and I haven’t found one that I really want to use yet that works well with the version of WordPress we are using on BlogDumps Bloggers.

So, my solution is – I am going to upgrade BlogDumps Bloggers to the latest version. I’m testing all the functions and features and making sure that the upgrade will not harm anyone’s blog. Now your new back office is going to change, but we are going to give everyone fair warning before the upgrade goes live. This process is going to take some time, so the upgrade will probably be next week. I will post an admin message on your dashboard. Change is Good! No Worries!

I have been working on the discussion forum also and will make some cool changes there. I am hoping the live chat option will work… that would be fun for everyone to be able to live chat with each other along with posting in the discussions. If you haven’t announced your blog to the community stop by and join us!

Pete’s ‘Today in History’ Quiz

Pete’s “Today in History” Quiz blog was the top blog this week on Top Sites Tuesday!

Pete has a great blog with a ton of useful information. He delivers it in the form of a quiz. I really like Pete’s blog it is so informative and a fun place to visit. Pete has been joining in the Top Site Tuesday Meme and we love having him here in the community.

Pete's 'Today in History' Quiz

Everyday Pete put’s up a quiz consisting of three questions and the answers are posted on the next day’s blog. I find every question challenging, however I must admit I cheat from time to time by Googling the answers!

In his Biography, Pete writes:

“I have been presenting weekly Pub Quizzes for the last 8 years here in Birmingham and I thought it was about time to test out some of my questions on a wider audience.
My basic philosophy for a quiz is: – Don’t make it too hard (people don’t like to go home thinking that they know nothing!)
If people don’t know an answer, when they do hear it they say, “****, I should have known that!!” (There’s nothing worse at a quiz than being none the wiser when you’ve heard the answer!)
Aim the questions at your target audience’s interests.
I have published the book “The Easy Quiz Master” (available via Amazon and Lulu.com). This book is designed to give aspiring quiz masters enough questions for a whole year of quizzing based on presenting a quiz per week.
Aside from quizzing I enjoy playing golf (not very well – handicap 19), canal holidays, visiting pubs, science fiction and taking occasional photos.”

The day after Hump-day! LOL

I see that Pete was the top blog this week on Top Sites Tuesday so we are all going to Great Britain on Saturday to visit him… It’s always good to visit Pete’s blog you just might learn something! 🙂 Thanks to all of you that participate, we hope you are having as much fun as we are! 😀 Oh! Did you all see Liggy’s button on the right sidebar? Isn’t it great!?

Everything is running smoothly we added some new Twitter backgrounds to the Twitter Designer you might like ’em so check it out. We have also been doing some real clean-up around here and some upgrades so your blogs should be loading faster then normal.

So as Nancy would say – This is it we are on the down hill run sliding into home… It’s almost the weekend!

Sorry for the delay, but I’ve been a little preoccupied with my Sunburn, courtesy of yesterday’s beach outing, for most of the morning.

Yesterday started out perfectly for a very fair skinned person, like myself, to go enjoy a day at the beach. The morning clouds promised rain – I though that was awesome – rain never came, just clouds. Then the sky cleared and my sunblock failed me. *Sigh* Now I remember why I don’t frequent the beach when I can’t comfortably wear long sleeves, pants, and a scarf 🙂



Here’s to sincerely being jealous of all you folks that tan beautifully, and here’s to all of you who suffer after a day in the sun, just like me. LOL

Ay, was last weeks Top Blog Site on Tuesday! Her blogs, Time for a Babble Break and Kitchen Trails are awesome new additions to the BlogDumps Community.

Time for a Babble Break

In her Blog, Time For a Babble Break, Ay writes about everything from daily life to food reviews and family outings. Ay States:

Was once into public relations but found that relating to kids gives more satisfaction and makes so much more sense. So it was goodbye to the corporate world some years back. Currently a stay home mum to three boisterous, active and lovable kids who keep me insanely occupied but very fulfilled. Welcome to my Wonderland and join me for a babble-licious Babble Break.

And the site is just that, a stay at home mums wonderland! I love how everything is light and friendly. The site is whimsical with pictures of the family line the sidebar.

Kitchen Trails

In Kitchen Trails, Ay writes about “Sharing my thrills and spills in the kitchen and all that yum factor….”. On BlogDumps Birthday she brought Bubur Cha-Cha which sounds really interesting – and the recipe was really surprising! In the picture Bubur Cha Cha looks like a fruit soup, but it is actually made with yams, sweet potatoes, and Black beans! She posts pictures of different foods that I find totally interesting – I think I’m just curious what some of them are and what they taste like because I’ve never had it!

I think but of these blogs deserved recognition! Welcome to BlogDumps!

Data Loss Prevention

Hi everyone, It’s another drizzly day here on the East Coast!

I didn’t want to get up, the steady rain just woke me and then lulled me back to sleep 🙂
I did get in by 9:00 am though. I really wanted to call it a rain out and just stay home and play on my lap top but I have to take my youngest to get shoes – she starts college (her first year) Woo Hoo 😀

I guess I will go to Kohl’s Department store they have nice things there.

Oh, Yeah the data stuff!
Since the last incident that we will not speak of ( Sandy made me do it she said to hit the server with a vodka bottle!!! 😀 ) I didn’t see the word empty I swear!

Seriously though, I have improved us just a bit we will do a full back up of all data bases everyday, automatically. On the server at around 11:00 am everyday, you might notice a slight slow-down on the site or while a video is playing for about ten minutes.

So that’s the news around here.

I did see this today though, Its a funny Hot Dog Commercial, I was told I shouldn’t put it here so you will have to visit me on Wrongblog to see it… LOL (opens in a new window)
