Hot Blogs On Tuesday!

Gosh can you believe it’s February? Time flies along doesn’t it. Since the recent turn in my life My son and his wife having a baby, getting there own house, Me becoming a “randpa” (Oh Stop it Sandy, I can see you laughing and having way to much fun with this!!!) I sit and reflect as I guess we all do and it seems like yesterday my boys were sneaking off to the pond for a swim or playing army in the woods on the back of the farm. Now it has me thinking 49 is middle age right? I am sure you will all agree… You will won’t you!!!???

I guess when they all move out I will still have my other kids… My wolves, I will hang out with Woofy and we will have a couple of glasses of wine and let out a few howls together… hehehehe

Yes, I know what you are thinking, It’s not me, Woofy will steal your drink if you turn your back for one second – even if it is on the kitchen counter or on the table. I thought about AA for him but the Parrot (Timothy) would have to go too! Never mind, it just wouldn’t be the same, I actually think Timothy howls better than Woofy!!!

I was reading about social media and how one of the biggest no no’s is to write the same scheduled post.
Well I guess I have failed, I like doing the Top Blog Sites Tuesday! What would be the purpose of having the scripting for top sites if you don’t ever give any credit where it is due. So I am going to continue to do this until I forget – which could be any time now that I am a “Randpa” LOL … What was I writing about???

Oh, Yes Top Blogs Tuesday. There are some new Blogs listed this week so make sure to check them out. I suspect that we will see many new ones as we are getting about 10 or so new members a day now.

Saturday At the Dump!

As is sit down with my cup of coffee in hand and gaze out the window thinking of what to write, I see it looks cold and windy outside! I am so glad my friend bought me a really nice down jacket for Christmas! It has been a very cold this week on the Eastern Shore.

There is so much to tell about what’s going on around here!

My son has bought his own house and he and his wife have moved in they will be having their baby soon. It’s going to be a baby boy! Woo-hoo! Oh stop it, I am not that old!!! Ok, Don’t you even use the “G” word…LOL I am proud of them though they are on their way to their new life. They are on their own and they are making out well, in this economy I had my concerns.

As you could see from the last post, I know it was last Tuesday but we have been working so hard on the site improvements I haven’t had a moment to blog away.

I was reading in some of the emails I get from various web news about social media and where it is headed in 2009. One of the articles I was reading had some of the do’s and don’ts, so I decided with a mutual vote around here to follow some of their advice and start this year off with a new look for BlogDumps as a whole.

The improvements started this week. We made some awesome improvements to BlogDumps Bloggers, allowing bloggers to add their adsence and javascript codes to their posts, and in the process we had to re-build a couple of blog templates to be able to be seen in FireFox… I am so glad Nancy Likes her new blog layout!

The biggest news of the week is the new look of BlogDumps Video I hope you all take a moment and go look at the new look and layout. Please take a few minutes and join the social media part of BlogDumps, you will not be disappointed with all the cool new features. The webcam upload allows for you to even do a webcam upload and embed your video blog post on your blog!

The next biggest news is the *all new* BlogDumps Instant Messenger that now has all the features the big boys have! Yes, I want our instant messenger to be just as good or better. Now you can send not only text, make audio calls and do video chat with your friends you can also transfer files! I hope you all enjoy the new look throughout BlogDumps as we grow along side all of you in the blogging world. Trina says it sounds corny, but I have to say it – with out all of you, BlogDumps would be just another empty site hoping for some visitors – so with that said thanks everyone for becoming a part of the BlogDumps community!

Top Sites Inauguration Tuesday

It is a cold frigid day here on the Eastern Shore today! Today is Obama’s Inauguration Day! A day when the whole world will be looking this way… the beginning of promised change.

There have been a lot of new members with some really cool blogs join our community here. I would like to invite all the new bloggers and the bloggers that have been with BlogDumps to start using the discussion forum to your advantage. You see, at BlogDumps we don’t care if you discuss something in the forum and add a link to your blog or your post you are discussing.

At BlogDumps we are all about Linky Love! Oh, speaking of Linky Love I would like to thank everyone who went to vote for Kim on Linky Loves’ site and helped win BlogDumps a free one year spot for advertising! This is great for all of us in the community. The more traffic, the more readers BlogDumps can send your way.

I started this post about, Oh, 5:30 am this morning – way before the inauguration of our President Obama- as I started my day, I laid in bed and wrote this with my coffee on my lap top. I have no clue why. I just felt the need to blog I guess! But as I finish this post this afternoon and after watching our President Barack Obama take the oath of office I feel the sense of change in the air. I saw the young kids faces lit up – what hope he brings to the table in the classrooms.

Barack Obama does brings hope and hopefully he will bring peace and prosperity – One nation under God.
Did you notice how many prayers and how many things involved the use of God in the language spoken through out this whole campaign and all the way to the Inauguration Today. I did like the end prayer when the preacher said, “Let the yellow be mellow and let the white do what’s right” and I think today we have shown that we have grown as a nation and done just that.

This could be the change our country has needed for so long to work together as equals. If we are to be the example of what democracy is to be then this is the direction we should be headed. I set a few photos to music of our president, I think I even posted it once but I guess it would be ok to do it again.

I know it’s top sites Tuesday but I just felt the need to blog away so without further delay here they are!

Whistle-stop Saturday!

Well, not only was President-elect Obama on the 137-mile journey, a trip that started in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and retraced the train ride Abraham Lincoln took on his way to becoming president in 1861, along for the ride was his wife Michelle, Vice President Elect Joe Biden and his Wife. As they passed through the area, Obama gave an awesome, awe-inspiring speech in Baltimore, Maryland, to approximately 40,00 people who stood in the frigid cold weather to hear him speak and witness this historic occasion.

I hope he brings change, peace and prosperity to our nation.

I don’t think it is ironic that he rode the historical track of President Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves by signing the Emancipation Proclamation, I think his historical ride finished the job. Not only are the black men and women free, but now we have a black man as a President. We ARE a country of free and equal people.

With 2 million people expected to hit the streets of Washington, D. C. on Tuesday for Obama’s Inauguration and their closing of the bridges across the Potomac River into the city, along with most of the downtown. I think that Most of America will have the best seats in the house… their house. No Crowds, Front Row View, and You can jump in the car to go get party snacks if you want. LOL
