What’s Happening on BlogDumps

This week AngelBaby won Top Sites Tuesday, I am so glad she has found a new cool place to live and winning this week just made it even better 🙂 Make sure to visit her she has a wonderful upbeat and positive blog. AngelBaby is a great asset to BlogDumps in Fact I don’t think she has ever missed a Top Sites Tuesday yet. Wow after thinking about this that’s awesome AngelBaby you Rock!

We have been battling the Spammers on BlogDumps Bloggers consistently. If you want a blog you have to fill out a form letting me know that you are in fact a live person. If you submit the form with “I am a Robot” still checked, you are automatically deleted and if you bypass the form you are automatically deleted. Those who fill out the form and check “I am a Human” will have their blog activated – please bear with us, there are many spammers everyday so sometimes it takes a day or two to get all the blogs activated or deleted.

I am a little late with the news this week but I have been so busy.

We have been activating blogs as fast as we can – just today there are seventy-five emails from people wanting a blog here on BlogDumps it seems to be this way everyday lately 🙂

I want to send out Congratulations to this week’s Top Sites Tuesday winner Bud aka Older Eyes I really like Bud’s blog make sure to visit and leave a comment, we bloggers love comments 🙂 Thanks for joining in the fun Bud!

Not much has been going on except the usual – work work work! If you have joined the BlogDumps Discussion Forum please update your profile and upload your photo and avatar, you will really like the new profile page and it’s cool feature. You can add your favorite songs and video add your buddies send messages to your fellow bloggers and more. The BlogDumps Instant messenger uses the same login as the discussion forum so if you are a member please download the BlogDumps IM and give it a try it’s free and it doesn’t require any special equipment to video chat like on Skype. The BlogDumps Instant Messenger allows you to send text share files with each other and video chat. Give it a try I am sure you will like it. My user name is Wolfbernz.

I worked on BlogDumps B Tubed also this week and everything is working great this is the part of BlogDumps where you can create your own page and upload videos, music and Photos and embed them in your blog or just use this as your own web page. Customize the layout with cool Myspace layouts if you want to. Also you can make video right from your computer with the Quick Capture feature you can add them to your blog for video blogging or you can send them privately to your friends and family.

If you use Twitter try the free Twitter background maker it’s great! Brand your Twitter page with your Photo and your web page photo with a nice background.

Blogging News on BlogDumps

Friday oh yeah! 🙂 I just love Friday – that means going out tonight for a good meal and some sleep in the morning!

Congratulations to Bud he won Top Sites Tuesday this week 🙂

It was also Buds Blog’s birthday so make sure to stop by and say Happy Birthday to Bud’s Blog 🙂

Not a lot to report as far as BlogDumps goes… I still can’t make up my mind on the new colors for the layout. As you all have seen I have been messing around with the sites colors and then I go back to the red background…LOL I did make a final decision on the front page though but it was a simple color change and moved some links around and added the link icons next to them.

We do have some new front page sponsors make sure to go see what they are about so they will stay, it helps with the server costs 🙂

The new spam filter is working well on BlogDumps Bloggers When you create a blog on BlogDumps you have to be a human and fill out the form and then we approve them. So far it has worked out really well. We will be upgrading this part of the site again there is a newer version out again. I usually wait a bit and let them work out the bugs so it will be next week sometime… It has been out for about three weeks or so now.

For those video buffs make sure if you want to get your blog listed in the Saturday Funnies Post that you upload a funny Video to BlogDumps B Tubed and I will use it on Saturday. B Tubed is a great place to host all your favorite Videos Music and Photos all in one place.
If you haven’t joined B Tubed yet you will like it you can do all kinds of cool things and it’s simple and spam free. You can even make a video right from your computer web cam and make it private and send it to family when they join.

I am so glad it’s Friday!

I don’t know about you all, but it has been a long week here. Cold, rain, snow – what more could we ask for… Sunny spring weather 8) notice my smiley has shades in anticipation of Spring.

We had a few thousand hits here on the BlogDumps Blog on Tuesday and Wednesday! The point of the Meme is to make friends with fellow bloggers, gain new readers and at the same time get real links back to your blog by commenting on each others posts. BlogDumps Bloggers ( yes you can create a blog right here on BlogDumps) Has been upgraded to the latest version of wordpress and all went well no issues that we have seen. If for some reason you find something is not working please let us know so we can take a look.

We installed a spam stopper so when you create on make sure to change I am a robot to I am a human or we will delete your new blog without question we had over 500 in the last 24 hours many were robots so we hid the link again but there are a lot that are not robots so I want to welcome you all to the BlogDumps community.

Make sure to fully use BlogDumps announce your blog in the discussion forum, Create a BlogDumps video page many that have get a lot of readers from this. AngelBaby told me she gets a lot of readers from her BlogDumps B tubed page ( B Tubed is the Video, Music and photo sharing part of BlogDumps)

Join and upload a video on B Tubed and I will add it to the Saturday Morning post and link to your blog for uploading it. If you need help just let me know and I will help you with getting started… Don’t be shy I am always here to help 🙂

If you would like to get your blog listed on the Sunday music post join B Tubed here and upload some music you like and I will use it on Sundays with links to your blog for uploading the music share what you like with the community.

I am off to venture to town I have to go to the lumber yard today and pick up some supplies, this should be fun it’s blowing snow at about 50 miles an hour sideways….Yeah! I have to save one of my customers she is getting flooded by all this water… They have small kids so I am going no matter what!

BlogDumps This Week

Everything here is going great I hope you all have had a great week so far.

If you received a weird email from BlogDumps… Oops! Sorry about that, we were running a cron job on the server so we could notify everyone when we implement the new features we are working on in case we have trouble and get a ton of emails we could write just one and let everyone know about what’s happening. Anyway when we ran the cron job, I think it sent the sample test out to many of you. Had I known this would happen I would have just said hi to everyone… instead, for the test, I did just like others would do and ran my fingers across the keyboard… 😀

Other than that we have some new sponsors on the front page, make sure to give them a click and check them out so we can keep them and so they find the front page useful to them for ads.

We have a ton of new blogs built this week again and so far we have beat the robots! I shouldn’t have said that, huh?

Well I am back to work enjoy the site and all the fun features, network and somebody should start some trouble in the discussion forum and get everyone’s blood pressure up… LOL

Well, it’s another Saturday Night here at the dump. Pete won Top Sites Tuesday – he was Top Blog! Pete’s blog, Pete’s “Today is the Day” Quiz, is a great asset to the BlogDumps Community and we appreciate that he participates each week. In visiting his blog, everyone learns something new every day! In case you haven’t visited his blog before, every day he puts up 3 trivia questions and the answers to yesterday’s questions. I find all of his questions challenging and am always thrilled when I guess one correctly!

But we want you all to know that everyone is a winner in our book! It’s everyone’s participating that make Top Sites Tuesday so much fun. We love visiting everyone’s blogs and we hope that everyone that participates enjoys Tuesdays as much as us!

We do need a theme for this week, so if anyone has an idea leave it in the comments… If Wolfbernz has to think two more thoughts… LOL And yes, All ideas are welcomed!

Happy New Year!

Wow, it has been another year already 🙂 We have had a lot of fun around here!

Thanks to all of you it has been a blast… Gosh remember the BlogDumps birthday party? We almost shut the place down… LOL

We have had our ups and downs, but thank God we have had more ups 😀

This weeks top Blog was Over Cups Of Coffee… That’s how this whole site began – in the coffee shop Trina and I had a few years ago. Lots of good things happen over a cup of coffee.

As I reflect over this past year I see some changes that I want to make for the better here on BlogDumps, make sure to stop by on Monday that will be the first change, the way we will do Top Sites Tuesday.

I have already begun to make the changes on BlogDumps Bloggers, now newcomers have to fill out a form to make sure they are not a robot or spammer. I also have added the new Bl.ogDumps Bloggers Terms of Service on the form so everyone knows what is expected or allowed here. I will be manually approving each blog created. I know this sounds like a lot of work but I want real bloggers on BlogDumps not just some robot or SEO guy that makes one post and links to all their sites and never comes back. I have started deleting all the blogs that haven’t been updated in years or were started and never completed to make room for all the new blogs. This is a free service we provide and we are getting about ten or so new blogs a day. I have also, with these new changes, been able to add all-text-allowed to BlogDumps Bloggers. This means you can do whatever you wish with your blog, advertise, add videos from anywhere or just blog about whatever you want to as long as it’s not porn or nasty stuff.

I really would like to see BlogDumps free services used by more bloggers in 2010. BlogDumps is a place where bloggers can connect, network and just have some fun. Maybe even use the discussion forum a bit more and share some tips and tricks for blogging and getting noticed.

Make sure to download the latest BlogDumps Instant Messenger for 2010 you will like the cool new features with file transfers and video chat rooms.
