I use a few different stats programs, which ones do you use?
I have found that they all say something different.
On my blog I use countersize – the stats are easy to read and very handy. I use Google Analytics for the whole website to track which pages are getting what hits and where thay are coming from. Both programs display completely different stats for the same pages – but they are close (if you think that 100 hits different is close).
Now, to top it off, we put Project Wonderful ads on our most popular pages. Project wonderful ads come with their own stats – and thier stats… you guessed it! Completely different than both counterize and Gooloe Analytics!
As a matter of fact I have three Project Wonderful ads running on the same page and each ad shows a different set of stats!
Mybloglog also has stats and they are different too! But I get a false sence of visitors there because someone can visit me on MyBlogLog and it looks as though they have been to my blog but in reality the just visited me on my account in Myblolog.
So what do I beleive? Alexa shows that BlogDumps is in the top 100,000 sites often and has a current rank of 134,000. How is it possible if Project Wonderful shows I have only 49 unique visitors somtime days and only 90 page views. I don’t believe BlogDumps could go as low as 50,000 on Alexa with these stats.
Since I have my own servers for BlogDumps, my server stats show another more detailed set of stats all together! My server techs tell me they are very accurate. However, if any of you are on your own server then you will appreciate how difficult these more detailed stats can be to understand.
So the big question of the day is what to believe? What stats do you use and what is your success with the one you use?
