So you want to blog, gain readers and traffic?

Low budget, don’t know where to start?

So you want to be a blogger?

Blogging can be very satisfying and a lot of fun but it is something that takes a few minutes or for some like me, a little longer to come up with topics you feel that people want to read about.
I can tell you once you become a blogger you will find yourself going through life mumbling to yourself.. Haha I could definitely blog this!

Blogging is not a hard thing to learn, just like everything else it has a learning curve but once you have it down for the most part it is easy and fun.

So how do you get comments and get people to come to your site? This can be very easy or very disappointing.

You have written what you think is the best article ever and nothing, nada, not even one comment.
Well my friend it’s all up to you and you have all the tools right at your fingertips.

Visit other bloggers. Not sure who? Look around the BlogDumps directory and you will find many bloggers that have the same interest. Leave a nice comment on their blog they will in turn visit you and do the same.

Join our Top Sites Tuesday and share your Two Thoughts with the rest of us here on BlogDumps, we will all come by for a visit! The check in post is up on BlogDumps Blog on Monday for those who want to be early 🙂 Let everyone know you are participating.

Brand yourself on Twitter and Facebook let your friends know what you are writing about.

Add your blog to the BlogDumps blog directory so others can find you.

The other thing to remember is to write a good article that is worth reading you have at the most 10 to 20 seconds and if the reader isn’t captivated, hooked in by your intro line, they will be gone.
So creativity, good writing, keywords for Google and other search engines to pick up on are important.

OK keywords? If you have a blog all about music and you are always talking about this mornings coffee at Starbucks, well you get the point. Key words – meaning relevant to your blog and the article you are writing about.

The Artist Challenge – Saturday’s Feature

I don’t know if you all have been to The Artist Challenge, but you MUST stop by while you are blog surfing! Talk about tons of cool art!

I found myself gazing at pictures and just having a good time enjoying fine artwork. The only way it could be better is if I was standing in a live gallery surrounded by all the pieces!

Most of you know that I am a BIG FAN of CBS Sunday Morning. I am amazed and awestruck that CBS has aired 3 of their 2010 Sun Art Submissions in just two months. If you aren’t familiar with the sun art concept, Sunday Morning ends every story segment with a picture of a sun. Every sun is unique to every story – it’s really pretty neat! And to have 3 suns aired in 2 months, that is simply amazing! Curious to see one? Check out The Artist Challenge #26 – 2010 CBS SUNDAY MORNING SUN ART You’re sure to be amazed by all the suns!

Are you an artist? “The challenge can be done in any style or medium the artist chooses. (Painters, Sculptures and craftsmen are all welcome.) Each member is given 30 days to render their concept and post their masterpiece on The Artist Challenge site by the specified drop dead date.”

The current challenge is Under the Sea. Stop by and take a look at all the submissions and interpretations of the challenge. You will be amazed – If you’re like me, you’ll be there a while 😉

BlogDumps Thursday News

Tomas from Art by Tomas won this week’s Top Sites Tuesday congrats to him 🙂 Please visit him and check out his cool blog. Tomas will be featured on this weeks Saturday Night Dump!

Not much to report here, we have closed registrations for getting a blog and have changed it to where one must fill out a form and then we will contact the new user. I really don’t like to have to do this but the robots and spammers have become out of control!

I would like to find a few people that are willing to download the BlogDumps Instant Messenger and use it with their family and friends so I can get some feedback. Please try the video and the file transfer, add you photo etc.. Also if you can get one or more people in the video conference room by clicking on the chat link on the messenger that would be awesome. If any of you are in business environment this could prove to be very helpful to your business also. The download is safe and has no spyware or malware it uses an ordinary webcam no need for special equipment but the better the webcam the better the messenger video works. I really appreciate the ones that will do this for me. you can leave a comment here and I will get back to you if you are having trouble or if you find it fun and it is working out please leave a comment so I know and I will get back with you. the link to the download is here. It’s Thursday Already!

This week has flown by! I guess it’s because it’s a holiday week…

Daily Wild Life

It was just that! What a great day here on the Eastern Shore… It was very hard to stay inside, well at one point I was done I was out in the sun and Trina was right behind me! I guess we should be happy and feel blessed where we work, it’s right on the river and it just makes all life’s little changes seem so simple when you step outside on the deck or go down by the water near the river.

As you can see I am still working on my sidebar widget for the blog I want the bloggers avatar to show if they leave a quickie comment in the sidebar… I know way to much time on my hands…

If you think that’s too much… check out the new site I have up for my Grandson, Jacob Wadde Barnes, it’s DailyWildLife.com It’s kinda like getting him a football – He is a bit young…lol But it has all the cool stuff about animals and all the proceeds will go to a college fund for him! Anyway I hope all of you are having a good week. I did find a small bug today but nobody even noticed it, it was an easy fix… The comments weren’t working on the Batavia theme for BlogDumps Bloggers, but they are now. (cough…Sandy, you didn’t catch that!?)

It’s Saturday – Have You Been Dumped?

Oh yes, it’s the weekend!!! Thank God! I am so tired it was a long week!!! The best part right now is it’s raining cats and dogs so I guess I am going to stay in today and just hang out, turn on my BlogDumps IM and talk to some friends and family!

Why do we say raining like cats and dogs?
