Well it’s another fine day on the home front! I have to get a new chair though…. Sitting in this most uncomfortable chair is making me tired too fast during the day. I am going to have to protest!

Well, the big new around here is the BlogDumps Video – Video player will soon be in High Def (HD) as they call it. We are working on it now and should be finished soon. The quality of the video is great it will allow uploads from cell phones and portable devices connected to the web, mp4 3gp ect… and still maintain quality. I can’t wait! I am going to allow bigger uploads also so full movies can be uploaded – if we run out of space I guess we’ll get another server… LOL I can see Trina now as she reads this “HA Ha WOLFBERNZ” and I’ll say quietly you don’t have to shout… and then run like well you get the picture!

America For Purchase

New to our Political Blogs, America For Purchase, is a really interesting read. Written by a retired American, a Viet Nam veteran, and God believing citizen with a son in the US military. He posts articles, that I would have otherwise not have seen.

I was totally entertained by his disclaimer:

LOL Then I read his first article about Preemptive Pardons. I had never heard of such a thing – you must read it!

The best part of this blog is the cumulative effect of all the posts. One post alone could lead you to think that this is just another political blog, but in reading through many of the posts you develop a feel for what this blog author believes in and where he stands on what issues. I wish I could say that about more blogs.

Punkin Chunkin Saturday

Where else but Sussex County, Delaware, would there be a festival called Punkin Chunkin?

If you’ve never heard of this before, let me enlighten you a bit. A bunch of crazy rednecks get together and launch 8 pound pumpkins through the air, as far as they can. And no, they aren’t throwing them by hand, these guys make all kinds of contraptions from catapults to gigantic air cannons! It’s awesome! Some contestants are all about the show and others are all about the chunk!

Top Blogs Sites Tuesday

It’s that time again… I know it has been a little while since I posted the top blogs sites but I am back on track so make sure to have your BlogDumps Buttons where your readers can find them and make you number one on the front page. Thank you all for being a part of the BlogDumps community!

How do you like the new look? I think it looks clean and neat. I have a few more things to do but in the end I think it will be the new look for BlogDumps.

The forum has been updated so your avatar shows up on the topics when you post. Make sure to fill out your profile and add your blog links so everyone can visit your blog. If you haven’t joined, make sure to sign-up and promote your blog, Yes I do allow links in your topics ’cause BlogDumps is all about Linky Love. (I think we all know what a spam post is so we’ll leave it at that.)

If you need any support for you blog hosted by BlogDumps feel free to add your questions to the forum, I have added an area just for this. It will help to benefit all BlogDumps Blogger in the case that they are having similar issues, we will be able to compare notes on these issues and how they were fixed.

I will be working on a new project for BlogDumps that will be very cool to have on the site, yes you guessed it….. No you didn’t, LOL. When people sign-up and submit their blog I want to display their feed in their blog listing. BlogDumps is not on a script that I bought out of a box or package, this is our own stuff so I have to figure out how to get this done. Any of you that are into programming and have any ideas I’m listening!

I know I have mentioned this before but there are some cool new buttons for all of you affiliates in the community. Saturday At The Dump!

This last week we have perfomed some security updates on our server, All went well… Thank God! I am always a little shakey about updates (Trina just goes for it) but everything is perfect.

BlogDumps is running Smoothly except I noticed that the Featured Blogs Feed Reader Script has an Issue with Flash 9 so I will be removing it and I am changing it to a new script.

I also found another small glich in the system, make sure to use the regular blog submission and add your link to BlogDumps first. Then when you become an affiliate you can change the buttons to whatever affiliate buttons you want to. The BlogDumps Spider doesn’t recognize the affiliate links it only sees the regular BlogDumps buttons.

I want to change BlogDumps blog theme but…
Why is it so hard to pick a new blog theme?
Any suggestions? Oh Come on add you two cents!

I want to point out one of the Featured blogs this week The Wildlife blog What a cool stop on my blog surfing!

I really enjoyed this blog and give it two thumbs up! I am not going to say anymore than that – you will have to stop by and see it for yourself. If you have kids this is a cool blog they will love to look at!

I am so glad it’s the weekend! I have absolutly no plans… Thank Goodness.

Woofy and I are going to relax and hang out, Mabe I’ll have a drink this evening and try to keep Woofy out of it. Yes, don’t turn your back on your drink or Woofy will slurp it down, then sneeeze for about five minutes and then look for more. Nothing worse then a house roving wolf who has had a drink!

Woofy was quite entertaining yesterday, Cordy and I were putting in a new water heater in the garage and, well, Woofy decided to run off with Cordy’s shoe. Under normal circumstances, that would be ok but Cordy was still in it! LOL

Wow! It has been real busy around here today. I was wondering how the top sites would finally shake out.

I don’t normally do a top sites on Wednesday but I wanted to hand out the credit due to such a great day here on BlogDumps.

Where Oh Where is Wolfbernz?

I know I haven’t been writing this week.
In case you haven’t noticed our server got comprimised through some open source scripting we were playing around with. Trina and I have been fixing the issues.

Maybe you all haven’t noticed because we have been working diligently all week on this.

YUCK!

I won’t say the name of this malicious person because I do not want to give them any internet indexing. But I will say that they have ruined our week and weekend.

This has been one hell of a week, If you see anything weird, let us know.

The blogs on Blogdumps hosting were not affected, nor was there a breech in the data files for any of the BlogDumps users. These people just got in and randomly added their name to some files, and deleted others. We caught this issue within just minutes of the intrusion – Thanks to our awesome server Techs – but apparently, minutes is all these folks needed.

I don’t understand what kind of gratification someone gets by trashing someone else’s work. Trina and I have worked on BlogDumps for over two years with a ton of hours involved. I realize we are not a big site so what the… , why bother little ole BlogDumps, we just make it in the top 100,000 sites?

I will get back into the swing of things soon.
